KoreaMaria will be at GIC all day (10am until 6pm) on Saturday.
Stop by and have an herbal tea to warm you up as the weather gets colder and colder.
Check out the beautiful and inspirational handcrafted items on sale as a fundraiser for JSA.
I will be there selling handmade aromatherapy soaps (5000 won) and candles (10,000 won).

Additionally I am looking for buyers of Miniature Masterpieces by Doug Stuber (minis for 10,000 won. Masterpieces for 100,000 won).

One of the GIC members, Rachel, has also made some baked goods - cookies and breads - that can be purchased. Cookies are 1000 won a piece, sold in packages of 2, so the minimum purchase is 2,000 won for a package. Large loaves of bread - banana bread, peach bread, blueberry cream cheese bread, will be sold for 20,000 each. Sounds pricey - but totally isn't. One loaf can generously feed 24 or provide delicious taste tester pieces for 50.

(I am not selling items from The Baker Babe, but I am promoting her as a local entrepreneur. She has donated not only significant baked goods as fundraisers but also considerable time in fact checking and setting up JSA, the cause I am fundraising for.)
While I am calling this event, KoreaMaria Fundraising Flea Market, it is not a market that is open to multiple sellers. I am the only seller setting up.
My aim is to:
- Raise awareness and funds for JSA, Jeolla Safety Alliance
- Say thank you to GIC members and participants at Saturday programs: KLP, GIC Talk, and other groups using the facility
- Support expat business entrepreneurs
If you are looking for a discount, go to Daiso, Korea's version of a dollar store. Spend your money getting a cheap price and support slave like labor and unsustainable manufacturing processes around the world.
If, instead, you want to spend your hard earned won supporting local business and raising funds for a good cause, please stop by, have some tea or freshly made juice, and maybe next week, I will be selling some of your handmade crafts or art work at this December event held every Saturday at GIC.
