Dec 1st Soap and Candle Details

On sale at KoreaMaria Fundraising Flea Market. Saturday December 1, 2012.

Soap – Excellent Stocking Stuffers
5,000 won each

Epicurean Bergamot- Bergamot oil, Rice Powder, Bentonite Clay, Oats and exfoliating seeds. A great cleanse for sensitive skin.

Grain - Pettigrain essential oil, Palm Oil, Sweet Almond oil with grains.
This is a great winter soap packed with oils to soften and moisturize.

African Cream - Zinziba Oil from the African continent, Rooibos, Honey, Oats powder and Lily Oil. It's fabulous for dry skin. Used in hospitals for patients with skin conditions.

Storm - Clary Sage & Patchouli oil with Charcoal Powder. Healing sage & charcoal powder for shaving.

Coffee with Mila – ground coffee, cinnamon, cocoa and butters. Linger Longer’s version of Magik Aroma's coffee soap.

Lavender & Ylang ylang –lavender and ylang ylang essential oils. Excellent for dry or oily skin. Helps balance skin oils.

Xmas Trees - Candy Cane fragrance.
These fun white or pink soaps have a slight sparkle of cosmetic grade glitter that dissolves with water. The simple design has been hand carved and each soap is unique. 

Anise Christmas Soap (7,000 won) Anise essential oil and ground coffee. This is a limited edition cold press soap that is larger than normal. It has cured for a few weeks and will last longer than glycerin soap. Strong scent like licorice! Wakes up your morning shower!

Travel Candles 10,000 won each (can burn 8-9 hours nonstop)

Aromatherapy-Enhanced Holiday Scents:

Apple Cinnamon – apple fragrance oil & cinnamon essential oil. Wherever you are can smell like apple pie baking in the oven! 

Orange & Clove – essential oils. Smells of mulled wine and warm gluhwein!

KoreaMaria will be at GIC all day (10am until 6pm) on Saturday.

Stop by and have an herbal tea to warm you up as the weather gets colder and colder.
Check out the beautiful and inspirational handcrafted items on sale as a fundraiser for JSA.

I will be there selling handmade aromatherapy soaps (5000 won) and candles (10,000 won).

One of the GIC members, Rachel, has also made some baked goods - cookies and breads - that can be purchased. Cookies are 1000 won a piece, sold in packages of 2, so the minimum purchase is 2,000 won for a package. Large loaves of bread - banana bread, peach bread, blueberry cream cheese bread, will be sold for 20,000 each. Sounds pricey - but totally isn't. One loaf can generously feed 24 or provide delicious taste tester pieces for 50.

(I am not selling items from The Baker Babe, but I am promoting her as a local entrepreneur. She has donated not only significant baked goods as fundraisers but also considerable time in fact checking and setting up JSA, the cause I am fundraising for.)

While I am calling this event, KoreaMaria Fundraising Flea Market, it is not a market that is open to multiple sellers. I am the only seller setting up.

My aim is to:

• Raise awareness and funds for JSA, Jeolla Safety Alliance
• Say thank you to GIC members and participants at Saturday programs: KLP, GIC Talk, and other groups using the facility
• Support expat business entrepreneurs

If you are looking for a discount, go to Daiso, Korea's version of a dollar store. Spend your money getting a cheap price and support slave like labor and unsustainable manufacturing processes around the world.

If, instead, you want to spend your hard earned won supporting local business and raising funds for a good cause, please stop by, have some tea or freshly made juice, and maybe next week, I will be selling some of your handmade crafts or art work at this December event held every Saturday at GIC.

A stocking full of coal is a welcomed gift, not a penalty for being naughty

Special thanks to those at GIC who bought tea, gim or 'jang! I raised 100,000 won today for 조선대학교 사회복지센터 (Chosun University's Center for Social Welfare). Funds raised will go to support the poor elderly in Gwangju by buying gas or coal to warm their homes.

Just got the OK from GIC yesterday. I can set up a mini flea market of my own every Saturday in December from 10am-6pm.

I will be selling handmade craft items. 

So far:

• handmade soaps & candles from Linger Longer Handmade Soaps (holiday stuff is too cute & sexy!)
• craft beer (not confirmed)
• mini masterpieces by Doug Stuber

Funds raised will go to Jeolla Safety Alliance.
