Week 1 - Introductions (Jan 9 - 15, 2012)
Joined Yahoo Group. Added photo & db of info. Watched intro video. Checked out site. The live events will be 1am Sunday mornings for me. Yikes. Also friended the blog & blog readings & blog activities.Started following moderators on twitter
Had to download Java to run Voxopop. I think I filled out the Survey but I'm not sure. Joined Voxopop & Voxopop group. Made a recording in Voxopop of why I'm studying Podcasting.
During the first week of the course, participants will:
- sign up and try tools for synchronous and/or asynchronous communication to be used during the session. http://www.glogster.com/
- exchange introductions add themselves to a Google group map
- answer a survey to determine their previous experience with web 2.0 tools and podcasting record expectations to the course on a web-based recorder (Voxopop)
- Web search podcast websites and create a pool of useful podcasts for the ELT classroom.

Week 2 - What is Podcasting? (Jan 16 - 22, 2012)
During the second week of the course, participants will:
- discuss what podcast / podcasting are.
- become familiar with tools to create podcasts, such as: Audacity, web based recorders, and podcasting host sites.
- learn on how to create a podcast by using Audacity - Live session on WiZiQ
- record short podcasts with their introductions
- export the mp3 files and upload them to host sites
- upload the podcasts to the session blog
- do the weekly reading and participate in the discusion forum: What is podcasting?
Week 3 - Planning Podcasting Projects (Jan 23 - Jan 29, 2012)
During this week, participants will:
- outline a podcasting project for an ESL/EFL classroom
- post the project outline to the session blog.
- make comments on participants’ projects
- do the weekly reading and participate in the discussion forum: How to use podcasts in the classroom.

Week 4 - Project Development (Jan 30- Feb 05, 2012)
During this week, participants will:
- produce and edit a podcast for their classroom project
- host the podcast and share it with the other participants
- do the weekly reading and participate in the discussion forum: Technical issues to take into consideration when producing and editing a podcast.

Week 5 - Evaluation and Wrap-up (Podcasting Fair) (Feb 06 -12, 2012)
During this week, participants will:
- embed podcasts on the session blog for the podcasting fair
- assess their own learning and join the Voicethread discussion
- visit the podcasting fair and post comments on participants’ productions
- answer the workshop evaluation survey
